I think you are5 star culture shirt overly judgemental here. It’s great you’ve talked to your kids about personal finance, and it seems like this less-fortunate family in your circle generally does what they can to decrease their costs. It’s likely been several years before they got a vacation at all, and they are likely taking advantage of super cheap rates to Mexico to get away. If anything, this is a sign of their situation where they have to take health risks to get a vacation to a place they likely have wanted to go to for years. Give them this one. They can’t deny their kids and family every moment of enjoyment for the sake of saving. Unless you’ve experienced it, I don’t think you can judge a family for being frugal for years, then taking advantage of a cheap rate for one break from how stressful their lives must be. We all need to step away from our tough realities at some point. Don’t judge. You might just be upset you had to deal with your kids bugging you about it.
Best 5 star culture shirt
5 star culture shirt as someone who had to watch the dollars (maybe even the pennies) very closely when our kids were little, my budget ran to no name ice cream. Chapman’s/Breyer/HaagenDaz was for special occasions. So you’re talking to the wrong person if you want to make the point about Chapman’s vs. no name. If we didn’t have money for treats that ran right through to the groceries. Vacations were staying with family in the next province, and couldn’t have happened without their generosity in letting us stay. Hotel stays of any kind were out of the budget, so we definitely didn’t go to Mexico.
