I squeezed screenshots from him to be sure. Sure enough, this snake had sown doubt in both directions and broken us up for the sheer enjoyment of watching it unfold. I felt like even though we were young and people make mistakes, I could simply not imagine myself ever feeling comfortable around someone like that again. So I broke up a lifelong friendship. It has been more than 10 years at this point and never have I ever looked back. You can forgive prople and move on, but it is important to shield yourself from people like that.
