I have a physical disability and wear an ankle-foot orthosis on one foot. It makes shoe shopping an absolute NIGHTMARE. I need to buy two pairs of shoes every time I buy shoes because the AFO makes my right foot 1.5 sizes bigger than the left, which is annoying and expensive, but I can deal with it. What I truly cannot deal with is that there are so few boots that I can get my AFO into. I can’t point my foot when I’m wearing the AFO, so it’s impossible to get my foot into boots without zippers or laces. Most boots with zippers don’t open wide enough for me to get my AFO into them. I wish someone would make a boot with double zippers where Pilot lemon avocado banana mango watermelon popcorn shirt  zippers are actually functional on both sides of the shoe, as opposed to having one that is decorative. I wish someone would make a tall boot with a back zipper instead of a side zipper. And more than anything, I want a nice, leather Chelsea-style ankle boot that I can actually get into.
